If you are like most people this tool can simplify your life and the lives of those around you. Like any new technology, it must be used to gain you benefit. Once the time is taken to fill out the forms and get the pertinent medical data into the EmergeTag, the knowledge that the information is immediately available is a source of peace of mind. Even if it never has to be used in an emergency (we hope not), the usefullness at a new doctors office or clinic is an incredible time saver.
The standard EmergeTag is water resistant. I would not however dunk it in a bucket of water. The EmergeTag Pro is waterproof and also has a small compartment for a few pills and a form that can be filled out with some very basic information.
Copies of these items can be put on your Emergetag, however you must also include contact information as to where the original documents are stored and how the physician or original signers can be reached. These names should also be listed on the emergency contact and physician sections of the EmergeTag.
All information is easily changed. When the EmegeTag is inserted into the computer, just make the choice to edit your info, supply the password and all your info is available to change. We recomend when you change your information that you make a backup copy with the bult in utility.
The main screen allows you to input general info (name, address, phone, blood type, height, weight etc.) emergency contacts, physicains, medications, allergies, surgeries, vision info, and existing medical conditions. Also you can input doctors records and files, but those require a password to view.
Yes and No. If your compuer is running Windows XP or Vista, it will work. However, if you have an older computer that requires drivers to see the usb drives, then we recommend that you use/borrow a computer that is a little more up to date. Please note that wherever you use your EmergeTag, no data is ever left behind, so you need not be concerned about using shared or pubic computers.
Glad you asked, just click here.
